Prepaid broadband. Pay as you go internet. No credit check. No annual contract. Wow. It seems that Comcast is taking a proven model from the mobile world and adopting it. This is a direct attack on the traditional telcos who have not upgraded their DSL networks at all. Marketed under the Xfinity brand, Comcast is selling the XFINITY Internet Prepaid Service with speeds of 10 Mbps of download and up to 1 Mbps of upload speed.

So while it’s not the fastest offering, this now means both the unbanked and the AirBnB crowd have new options for getting access to the ‘net…and with that, on to today’s COMUNICANO.
